Quality of Health & Safety – Is What You’re Doing Actually Working?

Having policies, procedures, training, audits and safety systems in place can create a sense that health and safety is being managed. But activity alone doesn’t necessarily mean it is effective, or that the processes and systems are being implemented or followed correctly, think are inspections being done thoroughly, or as a tick box exercise?

This toolbox talk explores the difference between doing safety activities and achieving quality outcomes. It challenges us to look beyond what is documented or counted and ask a more important question: Is what we are doing actually working in practice?

Because when it comes to health and safety, quantity can create reassurance—but quality creates confidence.
